Well the summer is over..sorry for the bad news, however I believe I could have done without the 5 weeks of intense heat and humidity in Southern Ontario.
I was very busy from May through the end of August. I was out west 4 times and we had some great band shows on the water..Manitoulin Island, Sauble Beach, Dresden..wait it just stormed in Dresden (that's where the water connects)
I want to thank everyone who booked my band and at times me alone. On that note, if you'd like to have me play a house concert at your place contact my agent Ryan thru the web-site. Maybe you'd like me to play a Christmas show at your place? A house concert is simple..You invite 25 - 40 of your friends to your house. I bring a small speaker set-up and sing a two hour show in your home, basement or sometimes a garage. I have a lot of fun doing these. I'm just releasing a new single "I Believe In You". We just finished a cool re-mix. I'll send a shout out to Carrie DeMaeyer my co-write pal. We're starting back writing again for my next cd. I've decided to record a 6 song cd next year and drop the price to 10 bucks...what the heck!? I've got a new great song I've written with Duane Steele which will be on that project.
I'll be writing with Duane in a couple of weeks when I head out west Oct 7 - 20 (check the site for dates) I'll be in Ontario for Nov and Dec (again check for dates)
The kids are great ..Josh is back to school in grade 11. He's doing well in school (academics, sports and music) He's been singing really well this past year. Katy just started her 3rd year at WLU and after going to the CCMA's in Hamilton, she'd like to try music full-time. I've come to the conclusion I've birthed 2 musician babies..so far Beth isn't upset...I think she's kinda used to it after living with me for so long. As long as they can live on Kraft dinner and beer they'll be ok . Hey maybe I should start writing songs for them..hmmm? Already have :) Google KW Glee club. Katy and I co-wrote a song called "Sunglasses" (Josh sings the 2nd verse)
I'm still golfing as I love to do..I also love fall. The two make a perfect combination.
I've been long winded..maybe if I did this more often that wouldn't have to happen. Enjoy the fall weather...take care...Jamie...
ps I loved Two and A Half Men...with Charlie not so much now. I wouldn't ask Charlie to watch my kids but he might be fun to hang out with...just sayin'
