Well I turned 50. I'd like to say I had a great birthday, but I kinda had a 2 week birthday..so it got a little blurry. My liver has relaxed and time has stopped standing still. Turning 50 has been both tragic and enlightening..I'm leaning toward enlightenment :)
I'm ready to start writing the next cd and I still believe I am relevant. I need to thank Katy for getting a group of my great friends together to celebrate with me. I will carry a smile from that night for a long time.
The kids a great..Katy is finishing her first year at WLU (English) and Josh is happy now that track has started. I'm pumped about golf....ok, "and" writing songs..but I just got new irons!! I leave this week to begin a tour with Willy Mack and Diane Chase, we're celebrating a new audio book by Janice Pym "I'm Not Blind You Are" . Check this site for dates and destinations.
We start in Ontario and then head out west. I stay out a couple weeks longer to do some shows on my own. I will be writing again with Duane Steele while I'm out there and I'm hoping to get together with Jay Semko. I'm excited about this next cd. I've got some cool ideas for songs.
Make sure you get out and vote. If you believe in the arts in this country don't give the conservatives a majority...ok.. just don't vote them...just sayin' :)
We've had a long winter and I'm ready for some spring..Bring it on baby!! I hope the sun comes out and warms you up wherever you are..I gotta go do some singin'...
take care..Jamie
