[Read more...] CD Review on "Right Here Right Now - Jamie Warren doesn’t make albums on a scheduled release pattern like most mainline artists – this is his first studio album in five years, only his fourth (plus a Greatest Hits collection) since coming on stream in the early 1980’s --- so, when he cuts an album you have to believe he’s got something to say. And boy, does he have something to say on Right Here Right Now. This is a concept album, of songs he has written and co-written that deal with personal relationships he has experienced over the past couple years. While the album has a common thread and storyline enabling the listener to move from one ‘experience’ to the next, radio listeners who get to hear only one song at a time will not benefit from the theme that Jamie Warren has created here. Still, each song is strong enough on its own to carry a specific message…and thanks to Jamie Warren’s scratchy (that’s a compliment) vocal styling, all of the work is quite appealing.... THAT'S COUNTRY - CD Review on "Right Here Right Now - A couple of years in the making, RIGHT HERE RIGHT NOW is a very personal collection of songs - a journal so to speak of one man's quest to find himself. Jamie provides for us a window to gaze deeply into his being, resulting in a breath-taking journey of soul-searching. Jamie, with his pure, rich voice as unique as a single snowflake, takes us on a journey from his heart-wrenching ballad “Someday You Will”, about surviving a parting of ways with a loved one, to “One Real Kiss”, one person’s answer to a dying relationship. “I’m Getting Closer” and “I’d Rather Be Lonely” greet us on the road to “Right Here Right Now”, songs of healing but not quite there yet.
